This is a research-based program* shown to be a beneficial teaching tool for children of all ages. The skills acquired have been shown to advantageous for those with ASD, ADHD/ADD, communication challenges, social isolation, and other learning impairments.
This program has demonstrated effectiveness in enhancing the following skills: 1. Verbal and non-verbal communication 2. Conflict resolution 3. Task initiation/completion 4. Sharing and turn-taking 5. Collaboration 6. Problem-solving 7. Creativity 8. Fine motor skills 9. Leadership The underlying philosophy of this program is to empower individuals with the necessary skills to adapt their communication, ensuring clarity and comprehension by others. Embracing neuro-diversity, the program encourages all participants to authentically express themselves while fostering collaborative and partnership skills. |
In each session, the group will be assigned a specific theme or challenge. In their designated roles, participants will collaborate to complete the task. Some weeks will focus on set building, while others will encourage freestyle building with challenges such as creating something that floats. Both approaches provide valuable applications and opportunities for skill development. As individuals enhance their proficiency and master various skills, they will progress up the achievement ladder. Upon reaching the 'Expert' level, participants will graduate from the program and have the option to return as helpers in future sessions. At each level of achievement, participants will receive a certificate recognizing their progress. |

Participant Roles:
To optimize skill development and ensure exposure to the most significant learning outcomes, each group will consist of 3-4 individuals. During each session, participants will have the opportunity to rotate through and enhance their capabilities in each of the roles outlined below: 1. Architect: The Architect is responsible for interpreting instructions, guiding the Supplier on which Lego piece to use, and directing the Builder on where to place each Lego piece. 2. Supplier: The Supplier manages all the Lego bricks and transfers them to the Builder based on the Architect's instructions. 3. Builder: The Builder follows the instructions provided by the Architect and assembles the Lego pieces accordingly. 4. Director: The Director oversees the team, ensuring cohesive collaboration and effective communication among all members. Each role contributes essential skills that participants will develop, fostering a well-rounded set of capabilities. |

Cost:
The cost of the program will be billed as a once off fee of $640 for the 8-week term program. This will provide all the resources, room hire, and insurance required.
Missed Sessions:
Unfortunately, due to the way the program is run, individuals will not be able to 'make-up' missed sessions as their spot can not be filled if they are unable to attend. For extenuating circumstances please contact us to discuss.
