Home Schedule

Home Schedules - Morning, Afternoon and evening

This visual download is a great addition to any family. It allows children to build independence and self-sufficiency through offering visual support combined with simple language to clearly outline the expectations.  You can start by just implementing one task and build up to 4-5 tasks over time. This will help remove the stress and continuous need to be reminding your child what they need to do to get ready.

As well as this we know children like predictability, clarity and consistency in the approach parents have with them. By offering them this visual it will help them to see what tasks still need to be done and when their preferred task will happen. This gives them the accountability to achieve their preferred task when they wish by simply completing all the previous tasks.

In this download you will receive a 16 page PDF download and an editable download for the pictures (if you wish to customise them to suit your requirements).  In the 16-page download there are 3 different options for task boards. Depending on your child's requirements and capabilities you can choose to use whichever one you wish. For younger children, or those who have never had a schedule before, I would recommend the 'to do - done' option as it allows the individual to visually see what still needs to be done and to feel a sense of accomplishment through moving the task from 'to do' to 'done'.

I would recommend printing these are cardboard, laminating and either using velcro or blu-tak to affix the task cards.
